Eighteen years of contract work on other people's WordPress problems, run as a one-person practice from Skopje.
I have been doing contract WordPress work since 2008. Most of it starts the same way: something used to work, now it does not, and the people who built it are gone.
Naturkraft is a one-person consultancy. When you hire it, you get me — not an account manager, not a junior developer working from a ticket I wrote. The person who diagnoses the problem is the person who fixes it and the person who explains it to your board.
Where the work has come from
Companies in Denmark, Canada, the United Kingdom, Georgia and Macedonia. Robotics and education, e-commerce, photography, property, and a non-profit advancing women’s rights in sport. The industries differ; the failure modes rarely do.
Some of it is emergency work: a deployment that halved conversion overnight, a checkout that silently stopped taking payments. Some of it is slow, careful building — a booking and gallery delivery platform that had to survive a photographer’s whole season without me being on call.
How I actually work
- Read-only access first. I look before I touch, and I tell you what I found before I quote.
- Everything is version controlled and tested on a staging copy against your real data.
- You get written findings, not a verbal reassurance you cannot forward to anyone.
- Documentation and credentials are handed back at the end. Staying on a retainer should be a decision, not a trap.
AI-assisted, and honest about it
AI tooling runs through my whole development workflow. It is the reason one consultant can deliver at a scope that used to need a small team. It has not loosened a single review standard: every line still gets read, tested and justified before it goes near your production site. If you would rather it were not used on your codebase, say so at the start and it will not be.
The stack I work in
WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, Nginx, Apache, MySQL and MariaDB, Redis, AWS, Cloudflare, Docker, Git, WP-CLI. Builders when a client needs one: Bricks, Elementor, Divi. Front-end with Tailwind and GSAP where it earns its weight.
Based in Skopje, working on Central European Time, and used to overlapping with UK, Nordic and North American schedules.
