Pricing
Fixed prices for defined work, a day rate for the rest, and a retainer if you want someone on call.
You will know the number before I start. These are the shapes an engagement usually takes — the figures on each service page are where that kind of work typically begins.
Diagnostic audit
A fixed fee. I look at the site, the server and the logs, and you get a written report: what is wrong, the evidence, and the options ranked by cost and risk. Most audits come back within three to five working days. If you then hire me for the fix, the audit fee comes off the first invoice.
Fixed-scope project
Best for work that can be described precisely: a migration, a plugin, a theme build, a checkout repair. One price, agreed in writing, invoiced in two or three stages. Changes to scope get re-quoted rather than absorbed silently.
Day rate
1,050 EUR a day, billed in half days, with a short written summary of what each day went on. For open-ended work where the shape genuinely is not knowable upfront: long recovery jobs, or an ongoing build alongside your own team.
Every fixed price on the service pages reconciles to this figure, so you can check the arithmetic on any quote I send you.
Emergency call-out
A fixed call-out fee covering the first two hours, then an hourly rate, with a premium outside working hours. Priced this way because the value is in the response, not the duration — and because a shop losing orders needs someone to drop everything, which is a different product from scheduled work.
Care plans
The alternative to calling someone once a year when it breaks. Every plan includes the same baseline: updates applied on a copy and tested before they touch the live site, backups verified by restoring one rather than by trusting a green tick, security patches, and monitoring of both uptime and mail deliverability. What changes between them is how much work is included and how fast I answer.
- Care, 600 EUR a month. The baseline, plus two hours of work. Reply within two working days.
- Care Plus, 1,400 EUR a month. Eight hours of work, a reply within one working day, and a written review each quarter covering performance, security and anything ageing badly.
- Priority, 2,600 EUR a month. Sixteen hours, a reply within four working hours, the emergency call-out fee waived, and a direct number rather than a form.
Unused hours roll over for one month. Hours inside a plan are cheaper than the same work bought ad hoc, which is the point: predictability is worth something to both of us. Plans run month to month with thirty days’ notice, because a care plan you cannot leave is a subscription rather than a service.
Terms
- Invoices in EUR, DKK, GBP or USD. Payment within 14 days.
- Larger projects are staged: a deposit to start, the balance on delivery.
- Emergency call-outs are 600 EUR for the first two hours, then 250 EUR an hour, rising by half outside working hours and at weekends.
- Everything I write for you is yours, including the code, once the final invoice is settled.
- Rates rise by six per cent each January, which roughly tracks inflation and rising costs. Existing clients get ninety days’ written notice; a price agreed for a fixed-scope project never changes once that project has started.
