Repairing WooCommerce inside a heavily customised build
The problem
WooCommerce failing on a custom e-commerce build where the standard behaviour had been extensively modified.
What was happening
A production studio in the United Kingdom had an e-commerce build with substantial custom work layered over WooCommerce. The commerce layer had stopped behaving reliably, and the customisation made the usual advice — disable everything and re-enable one by one — both slow and risky.
The work
The custom layer was read and understood before anything was changed, so the repair worked with the existing architecture instead of against it. Rebuilding from stock would have been quicker to quote and considerably more expensive for the client.
The outcome
The commerce layer repaired and returned to reliable operation without discarding the custom work around it.
