Web presence for the Skopje extreme sports community
The problem
A citizens' association and its events needing a public home, run entirely by volunteers with no budget for maintenance.
A citizens’ association for extreme sports in Skopje, which I lead, along with the events that run under it.
The technical requirement is unusual only in its constraints. Whatever gets built has to be maintainable by volunteers whose actual interest is the sport rather than the website, and cheap enough to run that hosting is never the reason something shuts down. That rules out most of what a commercial project would reach for: no page builder licence to renew, no plugin stack that needs attention every quarter, nothing that breaks quietly when nobody has logged in for two months.
Voluntary work is where you learn to build for the person who inherits it, which is a habit worth carrying into paid work.
The outcome
Sites and event pages built to be cheap to run and simple enough that non-technical volunteers can update them.
