A photography business rebuilt as a platform
The problem
A photography practice running sessions, gallery delivery and print sales through disconnected tools, with the coordination cost falling on the photographer.
What was needed
A photography studio where the actual product is a sequence: a client books a session, the session happens, images are delivered to a private gallery, and prints are ordered and shipped. Every step had its own tool and the photographer was the integration layer between them.
The work
- Session booking with availability that reflects how a photographer’s calendar actually works.
- Private digital galleries for delivery, with client selection and download.
- Print ordering wired into a drop-shipping fulfilment integration.
- An administrative view built for someone who is not a developer and is often working from a phone between shoots.
Why it is here
This is what custom development is for. There are plugins for booking and plugins for galleries and plugins for print sales; assembling all three and asking one person to hold them together is the situation the client was already in.
The outcome
A single platform handling session booking, digital gallery delivery and print drop-shipping, built so it runs through a full season without developer involvement.
